Name: Keita. He has no last name
Age: 19
Height: 6'2"
Weapons:
- Reinforced Shakujo
- A Satchel (not pictured), in which he keeps his projectile weapons: 5 hard, leather spheres about the size of a dodgeball, each with a surprising heavy weight.
[The satchel itself is often used in odd ways, such as a sling to hurl the spheres]
Hair: silver
Eyes: Blackened and burned: always closed.
Skills: Sense Fighting: heightened senses, due to blindness. Sonar, almost bat-like, hearing.
Fighting style: combined ball-and-staff-use techniques, with mid-to-long range applications; staff-based melee combat. Note that he’s blind, and has a left-handed preference when it comes to throwing things.
Notes:
Never one to try and draw first blood, Keita has a friendly, upbeat personality, which is backed by his warm smile and quirky sense of humour. Unable to judge upon appearances, Keita follows a personal philosophy of “Everyone has a clean slate upon when they first meet, and it should stay this way.” This is probably why Keita is quick to make friends. Keita has few enemies, and wants to keep it that way, more often than not. “You can never have too many friends, but too many enemies can be a little troublesome.”
He can almost always be found smiling about something, no matter what his current situation might be. Because of this, Keita is often seen as ‘simple’. Well… he is simple, but the problem is that people often think that ‘simple’ equates to someone being ‘stupid’: just because a person takes a less-complex look on life doesn’t mean they are less intelligent than the next person.
Raised as a monk, he has a near-unrivalled sense of optimism, which can be confused, at times, for being overly-confident, or cocky. He carries a money purse around, in a pouch concealed in his belt, but it’s almost always empty. Regardless of being poor in pocket, he’s has an extreme wealth in terms of spirit… but that said, he’s never one to turn down a free meal, and probably never will be: “All of life’s problems can always be solved with a chat over a nice, hot meal!” Fortunately, when this philosophy fails, he can handle himself well in a fight.
